First, we want to thank all who cleaned the courts and the skybox, prepared the food, and graciously greeted our guests – the 4.5 women and Mesa Regal residents who stopped by yesterday. The talent was unbelievable and inspiring. Even though it was cool, we had good attendance – thanks for coming.
Saturday, January 13, we will be the special “featured guests” at the AZ Women’s first tennis match against UC Davis. The matches begin at 10 am. The address to the Whiteman Tennis Center is 800 E. 6th St., Tempe. I remember there is ample parking. If you want to take the light rail, the two closest stations are VeteransWay/College Ave., and University Dr./Rural Rd. There will be Krispy Kreme donuts, food, reserved seating, halftime entertainment, and a post-match meet & greet. We hope you come – this is going to be fun 😁👍.
This Friday is the last day to sign up for the Jan. 20th Cal-am Fun Day. If you have signed up, please review that you did and that your name is legible. Lunch will be sub sandwiches and if anyone needs a gluten-free lunch, let me (Diane Borle) know. Lunch is free to all players. I am fairly confident that the “alternates” will be able to play.
